Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Who we are
"Mekvo" ("we", "us") is a Saudi limited liability company (registration in progress) that develops mobile apps. This policy explains how we handle personal data on our website, mekvoteam.com, and when you contact us. It also explains how we will handle personal data in our apps once they launch. It follows the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing regulations.
2. This website collects no personal data
- The website does not ask you to create an account and has no forms that send data to our servers.
- We use no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking or advertising tools of any kind.
- The website loads no fonts, scripts or other content from third parties.
- The contact form only opens the email app on your device. We receive nothing unless you send the email yourself.
- The website is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, the hosting provider may briefly process technical data, such as IP addresses, to run the site and protect it from attacks, under its own policy. We do not use this data to analyse visitors or for marketing.
3. When you email us
If you write to info@mekvoteam.com, we receive what you choose to send, usually your name, your email address, the content of your message and any attachments. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and follow up on it. We will not add your address to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
4. Our apps (once launched)
None of our apps has launched yet. Before any app launches, we will publish a privacy notice specific to it that sets out exactly what data it collects and why, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it. We expect the Mekvo app to need data such as:
- Account details: name and mobile number.
- Vehicle details: make, model and year.
- Service requests and messages with the workshops you choose to contact.
- Your approximate location, only if you allow it, to show workshops near you.
5. Why we process data
- To reply to your enquiries and messages.
- To provide our apps' services once they launch, such as connecting you with the workshops you choose.
- To protect our services and prevent misuse.
- To comply with the laws of the Kingdom.
We process data based on your consent, when it is needed to provide a service you asked for, to meet a legal obligation, or in other cases the law permits. We do not use your data for a purpose different from the one it was collected for.
6. Sharing data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only when needed, and only as much as needed, with:
- Technical service providers we rely on, such as hosting and email.
- Workshops you choose to contact through our app once it launches.
- Competent government authorities when the law requires it.
7. Where and how data is stored
- Email correspondence is stored with the email service provider we use.
- Some technical service providers may have servers outside Saudi Arabia. In that case we follow the legal rules for transferring personal data outside the Kingdom.
- We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to those who need it.
- If a data breach affects your data, we will notify the competent authority and you, as the law requires.
8. How long we keep data
- We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for.
- Email correspondence: deleted within 24 months of our last contact, unless a law requires us to keep it longer.
- App data: set out in each app's privacy notice. We delete account data when the account is deleted, except what the law requires us to keep.
9. Your rights
Under the PDPL, you have the right:
- To be informed how and why your data is collected, which this policy explains.
- To access the personal data we hold about you.
- To obtain a copy of your data in a clear, readable format.
- To correction: to ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
- To destruction: to ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed, unless a law requires us to keep it.
- To withdraw consent to processing at any time. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
You may also complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) if you believe your data has been processed in breach of the law.
10. How to request deletion or exercise your rights
- Email info@mekvoteam.com with the subject "Personal data request".
- Explain your request (for example, "delete my data" or "send me a copy of my data") and give the email address or mobile number linked to it.
- We may ask for extra information to verify your identity before acting, to protect your data.
- We will reply within 30 days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we will tell you why.
11. Children
Our services are not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without their guardian's consent. If you learn that a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, especially when our apps launch. We will publish the updated version on this page with its "last updated" date.
